Nationwide Select Credit Card

Hi All,
Please excuse the ignorance but I needed help with a certain question.
I am travelling to the USA in September for the first time on my own and need to hire a vehicle.
I know you require a credit card to hire a vehicle and just looking into these as I've never had one before out of pure choice.
I am a Nationwide FlexAccount customer and notice that the Select credit card is recommended on here for abroad purchases and decent rates etc.
Just wanted to make sure when it says "select credit card" that it isnt any different to any other cards just saying "credit card" on them.
I dont want to get to the US and be denied using this card and being without a vehicle.

"Select" is just Nationwide's own branding just as Barclaycard has Premier, Platinum, Gold and Initial.

What is important is the card type which in this case is a Visa Credit Card and so 99.9999% of hire car companies will accept it.
