Outlook 2007 colour-coding emails

Morning all
I've colour-coded my emails in the inbox using Outlook 2007 but that all disappears when I file them into various folders.
Does anyone know if the colour-coding can be propagated to sub-folders and how it's done?
I've Googled for it, but it's not looking good.
