We've joined too and the savings on our Streamline machine are excellent.

if you join a professional organisation then most card machine companies seem to offer a discount, for example steamline will reduce ours from £20 to £15 a month. It doesnt have to be federation of small businesses, so this may be useful for some

I'm a member they told us to change from Wastetech PHS to Teamwaste and that'll be saving us £150 per month!!

For credit card and debit card services I changed from Streamline as they upped their charges again and again. I'm with HSBC whose price is 17p rather 20.5p and 1.335% rather than about 1.38% However I do have my business banking services with them so perhaps it was a good deal.
If you do ask, they mentioned a setup charge but I asked them to remove it and they did - let us know how you get on
