Thursday 17th May 2012 What small DFW things will you do today????

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym. :money:
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :T
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending. :j
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Morning everyone. Am I the first?
Have a job interview today. Not really a job that I especially want, but it's a job. Its one of those all day assessment centre things, so I expect I'll be drained by the time I finish!
Out with friends for a curry tonight so not especially MSE. It's a bring your own drink type of place though, so I'll save a few pennies there.
Total surprise when I got home last night, my stepmother had sent me a cheque towards taking my boys on holiday. Was struggling to see how i could afford it until then. I really need a holiday, but the finances are very tight. We haven't always seen eye to eye over the years, but every now and then she does something to remind me that she is human after all :rotfl:
Have a great MSE day everyone
