fee changes

hi
No doubt this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find it with the new search!

Ebay's new final value fee changes have gone up dramatically. Is anyone else feeling that unless their market will take increased prices they won't be able to sell and make any money on ebay anymore.

    Whats it gone up to?

I dont think even a big increase will effect trading, simply because ebay is unparralelled in popularity and accessibility.

It has gone up in media categories. The reduced listings fees does not make up for the 4 % hike in FVF

Book sellers have been posting furious comments on the Community Boards. There's seems to be a groundswell among the antiquarian stockists towards withdrawing, so much will they lose.
I suspect, as with all such changes, that the Joan/John Citizen in the middle is more than ever caught between a rock and a hard place.

And video games too. However I plan to circumvent this by listing all my video games in the "Toys and Games" category instead :)

Either in Electronic games, or "Other games". There's no way I'm paying 10 percent FVF plus Paypal - this change is ONLY good for commercial sellers with huge inventories who are constantly relisting. Basically eBay want to try to let them compete with the likes of Amazon and Play - and this is why they've made this change. Of course, it really screws over all those who make one-off sales - but hey, eBay really doesn't give a monkeys about them any more - they're just small fry.
