What a strange development! How can it be cheaper for them to do business on the phone than online? Oh well, I suppose if it adds to competition it must be a good thing.

Personally, I am waiting for the new £1.95 service using only quill pens and vellum.

My thoughts exactly, but thought someone out there may have a use for this service.

Also did think it may be down to what coastline posted about not being offered the best price.

I prefer to use their online service via X-O. But if someone does register to use this £3.95 service and also has an online account they could try a dummy online trade (where it offers you to accept the quoted price in 10 or 15 secs) while on the phone to Ring395 to see if there is a big difference in price offered.

When I started mainly using X-O to trade, I do occasionally check the price offered via The Share Centre to see if there is much difference in price offered between the two companies, up until now the difference has been minuscule.

I have just called them to find out about the pricing and they have confirmed the share prices they quote are (and have to be) the same prices as they quote with their other services.
Its a shame you cant open an account online but I've downloaded an application form and am going to give it a try anyway.
I'll let you know if I find any catches but I've used Jarvis a lot in the past and have yet to find any!!
