    I've asked Barclaycard to clarify why the dd was cancelled. I agree, I take responsibility for it, but if the dd was cancelled and I was not notified, and it was the banks error, I will be lodging a complaint.

    You say you spoke to them and got the balance which you are going to pay this week, did they not tell you what happened to the DD ?

    Why are you agreeing to pay the full balance (which i am assuming includes a large amount of fees ?) if this could possibly be Barclays error ?

    I spoke with them yesterday - and at that point was speaking with the collections agent. at the time of talking to her, I did not know that they had cancelled the dd - I only found that out via HSBC this morning. I know I had balance, thats why I'm making arrangements to pay it. I've raised the question about the dd with them today - and am awaiting a response. If I discover that it was cancelled on their side by error - I'll be looking to seperate what are fees versus what was owed originally. I just want this over with.
