Change a recipe into another cuisine

DD has just said that for DT tomorrow she has to change a recipe from one country with tweaks into one for another country. She thought change fajitas into bolognaise in ciabatta. Ciabatta won't wrap and I would rather we didn't have to buy so many ingredients. Should be able to think of plenty but mind gone blank, any…

Its an interesting assignment. Does anyone know why its been set? Is it to encourage being more adventurous with familiar ingredients? Why the limit to italian food?
