New boiler question

Hello all!
We are looking at getting our old boiler and water tank replaced this year.
We live in a second floor flat with someone below and above us.
I am just wondering what sort of work will need doing to install a new boiler. Will the floor boards need to be lifted up? If so I have a feeling we might need some new flooring.
Also is it ok to replace a single radiator with a double one as our bedroom is north facing so it cool compared to the south facing living room.
The original boiler was put in when the flats were built in the 80s.

Without coming round to visit your flat it is impossible to say whether or what needs to be taken up to carry out the work.
This would be explained by those attending to give you a quote.
No problem swapping the single radiator for a double.0 -
