MBNA minimum payment help!

Back in August I set upa dd to make minimum payments on my account and have sinced allowed this to continue presuming all upto date. However I have today sat and looked at the statements as the balance did not appear to be moving. Looking at the account I noticed a late payment charge was happening every month anf the minimum payment due was more then what is being taken. I contacted MBNA who explained that when the dd was set up it was not in time for the August payment and I missed this. O.k probably my bad but as the DD was set up for minimum payments I would presume that this would have been covered since. all statements show a minimum payment and i presumed this would be the amount collected, not a lesser amount. Have I any grounds to make a complaint as I dont feel they have treated me gairly, in my eyes whn you set a DD for the minimum payment this is what shoud be taken?? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just to clarify minimum payments due have been showing at around 57 but they have only been taken about 28!0

September October November December January February March April May. I tend to get a statement each month for all of my accounts. In my view it is more efficient to check online what is happening with credit card bills and direct debits being taken from current accounts.
It is this type of misfortune caused by sticking my own neck in the sand that inspired me to be proactive rather than passive in financial matters

You say why MBNA say charges were added the first month - and their explanation is reasonable, but you haven't said what their explanation is for all subsequent DDs to be less than the minimum payment.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0
