Car Removal by Newlyn Baillifs. please Help

My Car was removed last week by Bailiff. When I rang them and they said that is something to do with unpaid fine from Waltham Forest last year. As far as I know this fine was paid last year and I got the proof. Now they are saying that there is another outstanding fine from Wandsworth Council which I never received any notification nor letter from the Council.

When I told the Bailliff that I never received a letter, the following day they sent a letter asking me to pay £847 within 7 days if not the car would be scrapped! I want to challenge the council as I never received any letter from the council. Can I challenge? Do I I stand a chance? please can someone help me?

Get together all documentation and write out a timeline and contact bailiffadviceonline.co.uk There is a small charge but the experience they have makes it all worthwhile. If anyone can help, they can.

You need to contact the Council immediately. Also the bailiff company to get the details of the warrant they say they were executing. Then you can take it up with the Council. If you did not get any notices regarding the ticket and knew nothing about it, then there is a procedure which will enable you to have the fine set aside. You should make this clear to the bailiff company that you are going to appeal and that if they dispose of your vehicle pending the appeal you will hold them liable.

If it's got to the bailiff stage, then a charge certificate must of been issued from the Northampton Enforcement Centre. You need to apply there to get it suspended by making an out of time deceleration and get the matter re-wound to the PCN stage.
