Another ATOS lie

Just had a phone call from DWP regarding my appeal for ESA.They noted i use a wheelchair but only if someone can push me yet ATOS said when i came for my last medical i self propelled it,the person carrying out the medical pushed me in and out of the room and my wife did the rest.I said it was a lie and she dismissed it saying she can only go on what they tell me.Without saying exactly she implied my appeal has failed.I told her i receive an enhanced pension as i can't work again(assessed by ATOS)and i receive HR DLA for mobility,i take over 200 pills weekly for my illnesses including morphine and the furthest i travel is to the front door on crutches or further if someone pushes me.ATOS LIES AGAIN.

ankspon sorry for how ATOS have treated you. They also told a lot of lies at my husbands medical (I was there).
Are you going to be appealing the decision and taking it to tribunal? My husband has done this twice, and won both appeals.
We have made several complaints directly to ATOS, but have never had any kind of reply.
You can ask for the report, I think you need to request it from DWP or the job center. I actually thought it came automatically, as I got my report without requesting it.
good luck!0 -
you can report ethical breaches to the GMC (for doctors) or NMWC for Nurses.
The GMC link is here.
you should also register complaints in writing with both ATOS and the DWP.
But the most important one, if you wish to have the doctor investigated properly is the GMC.
(Or NMWC for nurses).
Get a copy of the medical report, you may have to complain to ATOS before you complain to the GMC - not sure, you could always ring the GMC for advice, just explain what happened and ask what to do.[greenhighlight]but it matters when the most senior politician in the land is happy to use language and examples that are simply not true.
[/greenhighlight][redtitle]
The impact of this is to stigmatise people on benefits,
and we should be deeply worried about that[/redtitle](house of lords debate, talking about Cameron)0 -
NMC not NMWC.
You can complain direct to them but following their own advice you should complain to ATOS first.
CAB could also help with regard to making a complaint about a healthcare professional0 -
This was an appeal, can i appeal again.I will certainly be asking for the report and if the name of the assessor is on it i will be taking it further. Thanks for the advice all0

If your not happy with the NMC then report them to council for healthcare regulatory excellence(CHRE)The Council for Healthcare Regulatory Excellence (CHRE) is an
independent organisation that is accountable to Parliament. Its main job is
to promote the health, safety and well-being of patients and other members
of the public in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.CHRE
oversees the nine healthcare regulators, working with them to improve the
way that professionals are regulated. They carry out research, develop
policy and provide advice to the four governments in the UK on regulating
healthcare professionals.
