Water logged garden

grass area of garden about 30 foot by 15 foot wide, always water logged. Fairly flat land, not the lowest point around. This has got possibly worse since the immediate neighbour covered their garden with a patio.

Easiest solution that retains the grass?

Perforated land drainage pipe. Cut channels, lay the pipe to a suitable collection point, and then relay the cut turf

Had this problem in my last house. What worked for me was digging a deep hole at the deepest point, filling it with rubble and covering with a foot of topsoil. This acted as a makeshift drainage.

Another (temporary) measure is to dig a channel around the border of the lawn, this will act as an overflow drain for excess water.
