Sitting it out although that relates to shares. The funds are long haul so apart from a few shares to bonds moves I'm never entirely out.

Although bargains are beginning to appear I'm still thinking we will see the FTSE below 5000. But I might be wrong :D

But BP at £4 looks sooooooo good to me
I believe past performance is a good guide to future performance

Thats the problem...finding the bottom...but as posted it might be a decent time to top up or start buying with lump sums.
Its ok monthly buying as you simply keep chipping away...but with lump sums you like to think you can get off to a good start.

As discounts have widened, I've been buying a few of the ITs that I've been watching for a while, and also have my eyes on a few other shares.

I think "FTSE 100 at 5000" is a reasonable point to start reducing cash again.
I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.

Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.

It is a decent time to buy good value companies that pay a good dividend.

IKWYM. I always tell myself that the time to buy an income producing asset is now, but I just can't help bargain hunting!
