Hi,
I'm looking to setup a junior shares ISA for my son. There doesn't seem to be a huge amount of information about and providers seem a little thin on the ground. I guess that administration and dealing charges will vary between providers. Can anyone advise what options there are.
Thanks

I'll be interested to see what people come up with here. I'm just looking and have been disappointed to see that F&C don't offer a junior ISA direct, as that was my first choice having been pleased with the CTF account for my eldest (all in Global Smaller Companies). F&C offer through Alliance Trust, but £25+VAT annual fee.
I am now looking at Fidelity via Cavendish online as I have my ISA with them. No annual fees and rebated trail commission.0 -
Depends whether you are looking at shares or funds (or both).
Fidelity FundsNetwork via Cavendish Online http://www.cavendishonline.co.uk/investments/ is great value for funds but you can't hold shares with them.Old dog but always delighted to learn new tricks!0 -
I use Hargreaves Lansdown for my son's isa and find it very easy to use.July's Challenges15 NSD 0/15:j15 Pound a Day:jLoose 1 Stone0

I believe F&C may be offering one themselves very soon. Definitely something I want to sort for my kids too!Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

Hi,
there are a host of providers for the Junior ISA, and i will add some links into the post here so you can have a look.
generally the maximum allowance will be set by the Government, but after next April it is set to move in line with the inflation measure, which if i am not wrong is the consumer prices index. The max allowance is £3,600 right now.
other details like initial charges and minimum deposit will vary from one provider to another.
have a look at these links. Hope they help]

F&C told me on the phone recently they expected to offer a JISA this summer. I also think their CTF shareholder account (note not the 'stakeholder') is good with very low charges and a fair range of fund options (i have F&C inv Trust and Global smaller cos)0 -
Agree about the Hargreaves Lansdown Junior ISA. Chose them as all my other accounts are with them so it's easier to manage but pleased with the product in general.
It's a stocks ISA so performance is obviously reliant on what you hold.
They used to offer a ceramic duck if you opened with £1k+.0
