Can anyone recommend a decent combination microwave?

Our Sharp microwave needs replaced. We need one that has microwave/grill and oven. Currently looking at Panasonic - as can't seem to find Sharp replacement - Can anyone recommend one for me - or tell me what brands to steer clear from? We've got vouchers for £140 for comet/currys.

Thanks
Dawn

I got a Panasonic combination last year when our Sharp went bang, and we're pleased with it - but mostly only use the microwave. It has something called Chaos defrost - which I find efficiently defrosts stuff in superquick time and I did make Yorkshire puddings in the oven , and they were very good. If I find time to read the instructions I'll use all the features a lot more.
I had a Panasonic years ago, and when I moved I gave it to someone who's still happily using it.

I bought a Sharp combination similar to this one last year, and we are really pleased with it. Its a fan convectionoven as well as micro and grill.

It does fab jacket spuds in about 25 minutes that like they have been baked in the oven. I use the fan oven combi a lot - it doesn't take long at all for the oven to warm up to temperature.

We've got a neff and while it's ok it has an irritating intermittent fault which means sometimes the microwave doesn't work - you have to bang it to get it sorted - I must take it to be repaired...

Hi Flier, -- hey that reads good !!
I bought a Delongi from Argos 3 months ago I highly recomend it, priced at £99.99 but as I paid for it with my nectar points it was like being free. The cheapest they do is an Eisi-Tronic for £44.99
Check the voucher/codes page for a discount code.
    Good Luck

Thanks to everyone who posted a reply, I really appreciate it.
The Sharp microwaves do look good and I am tempted to stay with sharp brand, but they seem to be HUGE!

We also have a Panasonic combination microwave. It replaced a Panasonic which had lasted years. The oven is large and you can do a full roast plus other items. Definitely recommend

fancied a new micro to go with my new kitchen, had a old one i got new when i got married 13 years ago still gonig strong, just ordered a bellnig micro+ grill for £39.98 happy with the price if it lasts even half as lnog as last one
  • I had a Sharp for many years, then when the grill stopped working I replaced it with another Sharp (R-963). This was rubbish compared to the old one, so I also bought a Panasonic (NNA833W). I bought them both over the Internet, and both had to be returned for repair, which was a pain.
I now use both (didn't have a proper cooker until recently) and each has its good points and bad points. The Sharp is best at cooking ready meals, baking, Yorkshire puddings etc, while the Panasonic is better for defrosting, microwaving and cooking baked potatoes. However, neither really gets hot enough for things like bread, scones and Yorkshires, and results can be very variable. The Panasonic has more fancy programmes, which work quite well if you can be bothered to find out how to use them.
The Panasonic was a Which? best buy at the time.
    Hope this helps!

I had a panasonic for years and really liked it.
I would always choose one with a quartz grill
