Hi
I was wondering if any1 out can help me, I bought my dad a Junior T3 Clock for his hobby to clock the racing pigeons times. We havent used it until now and when we went to use it, it doesnt work, we have got advice of the racing pigeon society and they have said that the are not suitable for use in the UK. I bought this of a ebay seller from belgium who wrote in the descprtion that it would work in the UK. I have contacted the seller a number of times and she just says that it does work in the UK and she hasnt had any other compliants. I have also been in touch with Ebay but the only come back to me with stantard generated emails. The problem is that we now have a useless clock and it will cost over £100 to have it converted to the UK standard. I was wondering if any1 knows, can I complain and who to? Will it be worth it? Do I have a leg to stand on against the seller?
Thanks

Couple of questions...
1. How long ago did you buy it?

i paid by paypal and I got it in March 06 for him0

if you bought it a year ago you are well over the 45 day time limit to do something....0

Woohoo! I'm normal! Gotta go tell the cat.0 -
she hadnt used it till now
id just try and resell it stating it cant be used in the uk obv make the auction available to overseas bidders!0 -
we just assumsed that it worked and didnt go to use it until now for the new season.0
-
should it work in the UK though, or is there an actual fault within the clock itself....
ther was one sold on Ebay recently by a belgium seller, says UK model0 -
it should work in the UK, there is no fault with the clock and I have noticed that there is still clocks being sold on ebay (by the same seller) which it says the UK model0

Why do they say it is unsuitable for the UK?
Is it radio controlled?
Clocks are pretty stand alone devices. The only way they interact with their environment (apart from RC ones) is if they are mains powered, which is rare these days and anyway, an EU mains item should work perfectly on UK mains.0
