How does each additional item work

I bought 2 items on ebay from the same seller and the first item p+p was £1.50 with each additional items 50p, then the second item p+p was £2.50 with additional items £1.00. So if i bought the item with the cheapest p+p first does this mean the seller can only charge me the lowest price if i ask them to send me the total amount.

The chances are more likely than not, that the seller will use the higher price as postage costs, as you are still purchasing the second item with the £2.50 postage tag.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

I think they'd be on two different settings if it was being done automatically, so you'd need to ask the seller. It's a bit like buying supermarket items that are 2 for £3 and 2 for £5, you generally aren't able to buy one of each for £4..0
