As Ziggy says if you can rent it from your library or something then it could save you wasting your money if you hate it.0 -

Have a look round your local charity shops.
You might find more videos in them if you still have a video player.
Cheaper but you can justify changing them more often if you get bored and you can contribute to charity at the same time.
You can also get stuff on ebay and then sell it again when you are bored.
This is more hassle and doesn't benefit charity but is cheaper than buying new stuff.0 -
Another idea instead of buying/charity shop/renting from library is freecycle. I posted a message on my local group asking for any unwanted exercise dvds and people were very generous. Worth a try.0

I'd recommend Rosemary Conley's Five Day Fat Burner DVD - I was very fat and very scared of people in leotards shouting 'pump it' and leaping around.
It's really gentle to start with, but you do get a good workout, and you can make it as long and intensive as you like. I started with ten minutes a day and built it up. For total novices I find it it much better than the celebrity DVDs. Once I was more confident I graduated to Davina but the only routine I liked was the Cardiobox one, so I stuck with that.0
