I'm chasing you round the boards luv!
I've got Mr Motivator's DVD - I bought it back in January but haven't even watched it yet!!!! Anyway, I bought it because it's got lots of short workouts in it (7 minutes I think) which is about as much as I can commit to (when I get around to it).
I'll watch it and let you know.
JxxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -

my fiance has the Davina Mccall one and the Ministry of Sound Pump it Up one. she says the Pump it up one is better. its the people off the video for the song, but she says it isn't has harsh as other ones and is easy to follow0

it depends what level of fitness you have already and what kind of thing you want to do. The Nell McAndrew ones always get a good write up but I think it's hard work. A lot of the ones that people recommend like the Nell and the Ministry of Sound ones are high energy and may not suit if you want something a bit more sedate. The Charlie Brookes one always gets a good write up and I've heard good things about the Corrie woman who plays Janice Battersby but I haven't seen any of them
Avoid Cindy Crawford! Elle McPherson is OK but a bit outdated in terms of how the exercises are done - the science of working out has come a long way in the last 10 years so some of the older work outs aren't 'best practice' now. The Beverley Callard ones are old again but usually get good reviews.
If you've never done any aerobics before then be careful with any DVD cos it's easy to get your posture wrong and do yourself damage.
I have the Davina Power of 3 and it really works - what I like about it is you don't need much space as everything is only a step away so unlike some of the dance workouts it's compact. There are a lot of squats and it's easy to cheat if you're feeling lazy but you can tailor it so that if you want to work hard you go deeper into the squats etc. If you do the whole thing it's an hour or you could do the warm up cool down and one section and it'd be about half that - -there's not much point doing less than half an hour. It's a good balance of upper body, abs and legs and breaks up the cardio so that you don't get out of puff too much and there is an easier option for if you can't do things like star jumps. Ne warned though the first time I did it I couldn't walk the next day! It soon gets easier though as your body gets used to it.
The other one that I use is the Hotpants Workout  It's dance based and you feel less like you're doing aerobics but you certainly work up a sweat. If you've got 2 left feet then it may take a few goes to get the steps right and you need more space than the Davina but it's good fun and you work harder than you think you are. I've still not sorted out the last section though as I fall over my feet  I'm not sure about the abs section as you need to have good abs to begin with and I always add in the arms from Davina as it just does legs.
Amazon reviews help a bit in deciding but often aren't very detailed. And as with all exercise equipment unless you use it, it's a waste of money!0
