Which companies use which credit reference agencies?

Hi all,

Ive checked my credit files with Equifax and Experian in preparing to get a consolidation loan.

While Experian gave me a poor score due to my credit cards all being close to maxed out, it does not show any of the troubles I had 2 years ago with couple of accounts. It was some default and payment plans issues but both account where settled two years ago.

These are are shown on my Equifax report.

I would like to know if its possible to find out the credit ref agency/ies loan companies use when applying for a loan.

While I know every company applies their own black magic in terms how it uses your credit report to decide your risk, Id put like to try to put myself in a stronger position so that Im accepted first time as multiple searches on my file will pull my credit score lower.
