Police Speeding Ticket (Scot)

My partner was caught speeding today by the local, friendly, constabulary and has been issued with a ticket to take to the court. She has to pay £60 and have 3 points put on to her license.
We are due to go on holiday in a couple of weeks time where we have a hire car booked under her name and our concern is whether she will get the license back in time. Does anyone know if the court puts the points on to the license at the time she pays or if the court send it away to the DVLA to do so?
Please note this was an offense made in Scotland and the payment and license will be taken to a Scottish Court, as the ticket says.
Thanks in advance for any advice that can be given.

No, because she didn't have it with her.
I should add that she hasn't been issued a HORT1.0 -
It will be sent off to the central ticket office who will take it to the local magistrate court. The points will be added there and returned. It will take about 2 weeks at a guess and they don't lose it.0

Have a read of the ticket you have, you can take the case to court if you want, but as its a Police issued ticket you are wasting your time. Equally, as its an endorseable offence, you have to submit your licence at some point, but the timescales are very clear.
Bear in mind too that if the offence is not to be contested, the penalty has already been issued (the ticket) so you also have to let the hireco know about it.
HORT1 is completely irrelevant.0 -

Thanks. We have no intention of contesting the ticket and she will go to the court tomo to cough up and give them her license, as the ticket says.
Our concern is what happens to the license after that - does the court endorse it and hand it back immediately, or does it go to the DVLA?0 -
After much searching on Google I think I have my answer:

If you pay in person, the court appear to slap the points on the license at the time of paying.
Thanks for the advice above.0
