Passport help please???

Hi im applying for a passport for my daughter and in section 4 it says that if my daughters parents (me) were born after 1982 (which we are) we have to have details of my parents claim to british nationality? what is this please? thanks for any help

    Parents passport number maybe? But read the notes on filling in the form.

    when my young grandson needed a replacement passport we supplied birth certificates

    If you have passports issued before the child was born just put your details in with your passport numbers, let me know if you didn't and I will tell you what to do.

    Hi yeah we have passports but they were issued after the birth of our daughter

    Does your mum have a passport - if so put the number and detail in section 8 and include your FBC (the one with your parents details on it)
    and if your mum does not have a passport you will need her bc - either short or long
    and the bc's must show the links in names - on your child's, your maiden name will be on it, on your FBC your mum's maiden name must be on it and this must correspond to the name on her bc
