Tutti Bambini - to buy or not to buy

Has anyone bought tutti bambini nursery furniture? I have done a bit of googling and the reviews are so bad. It is all online so the quality can not be seen and i think they will probably have the best on show. All reviews say that furniture is cheap, looks cheap, doesn't fit together and customer services are bad.
How are they still in business? Has anyone had experience of this make? Any advice?
Thanks

Hi, I replied on the other thread where you mentioned this. When I was on the pregnancy thread a few of the girls bought Tutti Bambini and they were really disappointed with it. It looked and felt cheap and parts didn't match up, so the furniture was squint.
If it's a cotbed you're buying, you have to think about a heavy toddler being in it too, putting weight on the sides, and potentially jumping up and down, and not just a tiny newborn.
It's not something I'd spend my cash on, now I know what I know. I quite liked some of there stuff too.The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
If you can, go and look at some of their kit in an independent baby shop near to you.
You also need to remember most people will go onto review sites as they have had a poor or outstanding experience. Most purchasers who are satisfied with their item don't bother going online to tell others about it.
Remember that bias as you read.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

It's not for me. I personally think some of it looks like imitations of other cots available from the likes of mothercare etc. if its because your wanting to save money then wait till there is an event or discount code like the one for babies r us last weekend xYou never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

There doesn't seem to be any on show, and babies are us had good offers with the 20% off so it's not about buying the cheapest. I always weigh up reviews but these are usually 1 star. Also I would have thought buying from the likes of Tesco & Boots you would just return the product direct to them but it seems that you have to deal with the actual company.
If it was me I wouldn't touch them but I don't want to rain on someones parade (not until I've checked the weather)
As for italian rubbish don't they make ferrari? The most potent weapon of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed. Steve Biko0 -
Hi there. Just to let you know I have recently bought and had delivered the 7 piece Marie set in white. I'm really pleased with it. It's solid built and the service was excellent. I was also very worried as read the bad reviews but, had no problems. I bought it from boots as they were doing a special offer (not sure if it's still on) and also got advantage points. We rung tutti bambini before hand to see where they had it on display and went to see it beforehand. I can only speak for the Marie set but, been really pleased. Hope that helps!0

I know that Tutti Bambini always have a good range of their furniture on display at the baby show at the NEC in Birmingham.0
