Electrician course

Hi
Unfortunately I will be losing my job soon. I need some income. I was thinking of doing an electricians course. What course is good? How much time does it take? How much do they charge?
Is it a feasible idea. I am good with DIY stuff and could change a plug when I was 10 years old. I just didn't need a qualification until now.
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately a short course will not make you an electrician.
This would take considerable training and work experience, even if you could change a plug when you were 10!0 -
Hi there, back to college it would be and carry out an apprenticeship then you need to get the experience. Dont listen to these "Be an electrican in 5 weeks" courses as they are a lot of rubbish!!
Nothing stops you for going for a basic course such as CG 2382, the follow on to the new CG2394/5/6 although they do require good theory and pratical assessments but expreince is the key.0
