Kodak ESP5210 printer problems

Have just spent ages on the phone with the help desk and have been told I need to BUY a new print head at a cost of £37. I printed a test sheet and it says I have printed 3080 pages in the 18 months since I bought it. I dont know if it is worth me buying a print head (I stupidly didnt ask if there is any kind of warranty) or giving up and buying a new printer. £37 seems a lot of money for a part, and 18 months seems a short life for something that cost me £90.

Print heads are a consumable, and unlikely to be covered by warranty unless proven to be faulty. How do I add a signature?0

Your usually better of buying a new printer, its cheaper to buy printers then inks and parts!0

The chap on the phone said that the print head is no longer talking to the ink cartridge, which is why it is only printing blue but showing a full cartridge. Sounds like a fault to me!0 -
Unless it has an extended warranty, it is outside the one year they give

Have only seen the 5210 listed as discontinued and these seem to be the current ones

If the printer you have is nearer to the 6150 in spec, then getting the one you have repaired is worth considering depending on the labour cost, or if it is possible to fit it easily yourself
You could also consider changing manufacturer0
