Mortgage Application - Proof of address problem

    Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker
    Our mortgage adviser just phoned my partners bank and they said they will supply information on her old addresses. HMRC were no help at all, just kept saying we don't send letters about peoples history and they were very rude. My head is going to explode...

    To be fair to them it's up to YOU to keep records. I keep records and am orgainsed, it ain't difficult. It's not up to organisations to provide a running commentary on your life history.

    I'm sure if a customer of yours asked you to wash down thier horse, you'd quite rightly point out that wans't part of your organisations remit!

    Hope you get it sorted, but I just want you to recognise things are down to you and no one else.

    Oh I agree, my partner wasn't being impolite demanding things and she knows it's her responsibility. I certainly wouldn't be rude to my clients if they wanted me to provide something they had lost though.
