Bought bargain new item off ebay, but worried if a scam.

I was after an item, and saw one at a reduced cost, and bought without checking the sellers credentials.

There are lots available, but after checking the sellers status, realised they had just joined yesterday. I am normally very cautious, but its something I've been meaning to buy, and was so relieved to see one at such a great price.

Worrying whether this could be a scam, as its free delivery, but item is based in here, but in the delivery description, it says express delivery outside the uk.

I see what you mean - with 0 feedback and such a bargain price you have got to wonder... I guess you have already paid?

Make sure that you pay with paypal. At least then is something goes wrong you can get your money back.

You could ask for their details as you have a transaction between you - then at least you could see their address/phone number.
Seller is not registered as a business.

Yes, I didn't check for the first time ever. I've been ebaying for years, so was a dumb thing to do. :o

I know everyone has to start somewhere, but there is scant info about the seller. I'm hoping my gut instinct isn't right.

I paid with Paypal, but have heard mixed reviews about their buyer protection.

You will be fine with Paypal buyer protection. Personally I would give Ebay a ring (not live chat) and ask them to refer it to Trust and Safety. If they are quick and pull the listings soon, you may find the transactions are cancelled.

If you funds have not been claimed, then cancel the payment
