hopefully someone can answer this easily.
I have been given a swing set for my young daughter.
It seems structurally sound but a bit shabby and is made of metal piping, maybe steel.
My intention is to paint the frame with Hammerite, replace the caps at the end of each tube and get a new seat.
Firstly, does anyone know what the plastic caps at the end are called? I have tried pipe caps, blanking caps, swing caps etc and can't find anything.
Secondly, is Hammeriting it a good idea to spruce it up?
Thirdly, I intend to dig a hole and bury about 2" of the feet. Is this a good idea?
Finally is a rope OK for the seat or should I get chains?

Anyone? If I could just get the caps sorted I would be happy.
I need 2 @ 5cm and 4 @ 2cm.0 -

The existing metal is probably powdercoated, so might not take the new paint very well0 -
Whatever finish it's already got will probably not take paint well, so you'd need to rub it down before anything else. Knowing that sort of stuff, there's little you can do to protect it, you'd be better making a frame out of sensibly sized timber. You could come up with a very good structure from 2x4.Ubuntu is an ancient African word, meaning: 'I can't configure Debian'.0
