Hi all,
Just wondered if anyone has had any dealings with Jump Estate agents (Yorkshire based)?
We are in the middle of choosing which agent to go with and like Jump the best, but thought I'd get other opinions first??
Any comments would be greatly received.
Thanks:rolleyes:

I'm not 100% certain, but arent Jump run on a sort of franchise basis in the same way as yourmove is?
If you've got a good feeling about the ea then trust your instinct. The other way is to ask around to see if anyone can recommend an ea, or take note of who is selling houses pretty quickly in your area & chose them as the best bet. This is the way I'm going when I put my house up for sale soon. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
With Jump a buyer cannot make an offer on the house! The price it is advertised is the price the buyer has to pay. So if the market does ever turn then surely it will be harder to sell with jump?
It does on the other hand only let viewers who can buy right now ..i.e SSTC, FTB or Cash buyer o view house, which might be handy for some people.
Personally I really did not like the size of the adverts in the our local paper for Jump, they look similar to the page advertisings the council houses for rent.
Where about are you from Pennine ?0 -

Have you thought any more about selling it yourself, or is this not an option??0

I switched to Jump to sell my house a while ago and then had to ditch them due to numerous problems.
The whole issue around the price being fixed can be a turn off for some house buyers, they come in value your house, then effectively make you an offer for your house below the value.
They then get you to sign a contract and work there commision from the difference between the original valuation and the offer they make you.
Also as it is a franchise be aware that some are on different sites to others, mine promised they were on rightmove so I signed up. Then later when my house did not go on rightmove I called the head office and found that they did not subscribe to the right move aspect like some so I cancelled my contract !0
