HP beans never tried
JS red salt & sugar were fine
Heniz think the comments were to much liquid whereas branston were ok in this aspect
Not sure if we have tried any others.0 -
Waitrose own brand, they taste exactly like the catering beans they used to use in Debenhams cafe when I was a kid and are far superior to Heinz xx0

Tesco own brand beans...yummFeudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

Another vote for Branstons here, we tried them when they were first available in our local supermarket and everyone preferred them to Heinz.
We bought a load from Amazon when they were £6 for 24 and then again when they were 4 for £1 in Lidl. We still have tins stored in the garden shed! That said, will probably get some more when they're on offer in Lidl next weekend.Optima semper libera sunt

when i used to have beans on toast, it was always the cheap ones 11p that Netto's used to sell, but since they have closed we now buy the beans in Lidls think they are 29p-34p a tin, haven't had heinz in over 12years, dont like brandsons either,0

well have tried branston didn't rate them at all too spicy from what i remember straight back to heinz and yes does seem they have gone more watery look when you open a can up amount of liquid wish they would put less in as i like them thick.
but the one thing people seemed to miss is how you cook them for me is must be in saucepan 7mins full heat with a knob of flora to help thicken up nicely stiring every now and then and never never in a mircowave you don't mircowave beans it just doesnt work for them for some reason.0 -
