"civil liability insurance"?

My daughter who is 21 has been offered an internship for three months in Alcudia. She will be working in a hotel as a waitress etc.
The organiser of the scheme has asked for photocopies of a her cover for "civil liability". I have spoken to her travel insurance provider and amended the travel policy to cover the three months as I am aware that generally this will only cover trips up to thirty days. When I asked about the above type of insurance they stated that their travel policy does not cover this and that she would need to get cover from a specialist insurance company.
Could anyone advise us what this type of policy is for and where she may get the best cover from?

Civil Liability would normally equate to Public Liability insurance in UK terminology.
Normally travel insurance includes PL and if you have bought insurance that is approporaite for working abroad I'd expect the PL to cover the needs. There is a small chance your home contents insurance PL may cover you (but I suspect it is limited to the UK only). If not speak to a local broker who will be able to get something set up for you to cover PL in Spain0
