Link now dead, looks like a phishing website, linked to from an scam email.

If you put your eBay details in, change your passwords now.

If you put your card details in, contact your bank.

If you want to log into your account to make any changes, log in in the normal way - do not click on links in emails.

You can check that your registered card details are correct via my eBay, look in the 'Personal Information' section of 'My Account' (links are down the left side of 'my eBay').

Note that some Paypal users are currently experiencing difficulties with card payment processing, and as eBay own Paypal I would guess that they use the same card processing.

If you have left a credit card on file with eBay, perhaps your issue is linked to the Paypal problems.

    Hi, looks genuine enough!

check ebay help if you are not sure, always send an email to ebay and they will check it for you!

I know these are simple things but, has your card expired? or maybe there is a new system now where they are checking random accounts?

    From this link: http://pages.ebay.co.uk/education/spooftutorial/spoof_3.html
    I got this:

    hdrSpoofEmails_570x70.gif
step3Bar_570x69.gifspacer.gifscr1Step3_318x276.gif You can count on the fact that a Spoof email will take you to a fake Web site.
Take a look at the example on the right. Often, the link in the email will not match up with the URL of the site it takes you to.

To determine if the Web address in your browser is a real eBay address, look for ".ebay.co.uk" or "ebay.ie" immediately before the first "/". In the below examples, notice that there must be a "." before eBay.co.uk, eBay.ie or eBay.com for the address to be legitimate.

subhdrDidYouKnow_129x20.gifNever click on a link in an email if you are unsure of its origins, especially if the email asks for personal financial information.

If it's been linked to directly from eBay, it'll be okay - and the address is listed on the eBay help page posted above.

It could well be the card processing problems causing this.
