Power washer problem

Hi,
I bought a power washer (8yrs ago!) Bosch Aquatak 1500Si for my O/H and it has never been out of the box!
My son decided it was time to see if it was a case of 'if you don't use it you lose it'
After the initial set up the first attempt (one side of his van)was fine but, there was smoke/steam coming from the unit. He turned it off, unplugged it and left it for 10 mins, but then it would not start up again:(
I bought this washer via this site so I am hoping a few others grabbed the same bargain also?
No instructions came with the washer so any useful advice would be greatly appreciated.

How did you buy it through this site?
The only advice is to pay to fix it or throw it away.0 -
It was a grab it bargain link that someone posted, if I remember rightly, that's all.

sounds like motor is burnt out, odd its taken you 8 years to use it though
You can get them fairly cheaper but as you haven't used one much maybe not worth bothering
There was on on hotukdeals today for £21 but sold out I think

or nilfisk (good make)

Not worth repairing one they not normally repairable cheap ones any way
I hope you had water going into unit before turning it on0 -
Thanks Antispam,
Son is now thinking it maybe a good idea to get a petrol one for washing his motocross bike in situ rather than popping into the local garage on the way home from races.
Any suggestions on good, reasonably priced one's?
