My wife is worried that if I should pop my clogs before her she wouldn't have a clue where our money is invested and account numbers/passwords etc.
I'm looking for a bit of software that can help me list, and keep current, all this sort of stuff so that an up-to-date situation report can be printed out periodically and filed perhaps together with our wills.
Can anyone point me to such a programme?

Presumably a spreadsheet really is all you need. Not sure about listing passwords in anything though.0

Hmmm.... she hasn't just taken out a HUGE insurance policy on you has she?? Should we be worried? :rotfl:
Sorry!
As above, a spreadsheet should do the job. Passwords for access to online accounts is tricky though. I'm not sure I'd want a file containing all my passwords together in one place, for security's sake. You had me at your proper use of "you're".0 -
I would advise against a computer program: Is it going to get corrupted? Is it going to be accidentally deleted? Will the executor of your estate be able to run it and access it?
Personally I have hard copy of letters and statements which I keep updated and my instructions to my son are, "If I kick the bucket everything is in the green folder in my sock drawer."

Plain sheet of paper with the institutions and account numbers only.
Do not include passwords - you should probably be changing them regularly anyway, and they shouldn't be needed in the event anyway.Conjugating the verb 'to be":
