undeclared debt
hi ive been in an iva for approx two years and just realised i owe hmrc about £3000 pre iva which was not included in iva . creditors was made up of about £60000 with hmrc being main creditor .just wondering of what to do next and whether declaration will jeopardize iva thanks

You should be fine, but speak to your IP. This amount should be quite easy to add in, and shouldn't need another creditors meeting. I am surprised that it hasn't come to light previously, HMRC are usually quite hot where there claims in an IVA are concerned, but there you go.0

In my experience HMRC are TERRIBLY INEFFICIENT when it comes to responding to anything. Just ask the IP to add the debt to the IVA and let HMRC worry about it from there. They are so short staffed and behind with administration that they may not even claim. However, that's not your worry, your IP will sort it.0
