Right tools and a ball of string and it's a doddle.
Post a pic of garden to give us a better idea of 'slope'

its a bit more difficult than normal

depending on slope you can iteher have a straight fence (level all the way, so some panles and posts will be bigger than others) or a stepped one (same height panels and posts, but stepped up/down by half a foot at intervals)

ideally you want concrete slotted posts and gravel boards

You can buy sloping fencing panels. They are next to the spare bubbles for a spirit level and chequered paint.

    sorry, back to the question.

I'd agree with previous poster. Yep,deffo go for concrete posts and g/boards....I wouldn't bother again with wooden posts.

A long ball of string, a decent sized spirit level and keep the staggered steps so that it looks right....(trying to find the words for a min !) ....ie; not big steps that would look out of place.

Buy decent panels as well mate, Closeboard ones if you can afford it.Each to their own , but I've found the run-of-the-mill-stuff from the big diy sheds are simply shoddy.

    hope this helps.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I have a garden that slopes quite steeply in places and have replaced quite a lot of the fence myself with great success.
Once the fence posts were in the correct position, it was just a matter of cutting the arris rails and gravel boards to fit at the correct angle, then just nail the feather edge boards vertically. I did cut the top and bottom of the feather edge boards at the correct angle to match the gravel boards and slope to look better. This took some time but was well worth it.
