I was given a kaffir lime plant at Christmas and some of the leaves are dropping off

I water it once a week (should it be more) and fed it a standard houseplant food (I couldn't find a citrus plant food in Wilko's).

Any tips? Please help. :)

My (grown from seed) 14 year old orange tree generally suffers from leaf drop over the winter months.

I used to put keep it on a sunny window ledge and the flux in day to night temp' really affected it. I was left with just branches and no leaves at all.

Now I keep it in the close and put it out for the summer and apart from bugs eating it it has thrived.

    Let it dry out.

    Put it somewhere without draughts.

    Only feed in the summer.

Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!

Citrus leaf loss is most likely caused from over watering. Lime is slightly less resilient than lemon (kumquat most vulnerable), so cut down on the water a little. If they are in a conservatory the heat may be getting to them by now, so watch the mid day temp. If you are in the south of the UK, they can be poked outside now, frost allowing. Improve drainage next time you repot, plenty of crocks in the bottom. Please excuse the grammar... G&T with my home-grown lemons!
