Fuji s8000

Picked up the camera from the kitchen worktop, daft place I know, and found it would not turn on. On closer inspection I find cooking oil (or similar) coming out all over the place, worst place being the menu button on the back. I'm near to assuming its a financial write off unless someone brilliant can come up with an idea. Help!!!:(

Judging by the pool left behind on the worktop its oil. Its my own fault, I guess, it should have been put away safely and not left where accidents could happen. I have a friend who's a bit of a whiz with computers so should have a degreasing spray or something, nothing to lose really.

Just a thought, have you taken out the Fuji guarantee? It covers accidental damage

Maybe a thought for your replacement

Just run out I think. Typical, the gremlins always wait until guarantees are finished.
