domain reg companies; any recommendations?

I'm looking to reg a .org.uk domain name, freely available currently, so no holding pages.
I would like some where reasonably cheap to begin with to just register the domain, and with at least 1 mail box (redirection or not)
To begin with I will redirect to a free hosting place (possibly my own isp webspace) with a couple of pages about the organisation, but in the future when the funding will come into place I would be looking for hosting on top.
Because of that, I'd ideally be looking for somewhere with either reasonable hosting costs, with a reasonable cost to register to begin with.
or
A reasonable cost to register, then reasonable costs to transfer elsewhere where I can get reasonable hosting.
It's a home grown group, so pricing we'd be looking under a tenner per year/per two years to actually register, then beyond that maybe a tenner a year up to to get a proper mail box, way less for just redirect to a generic email. And/or beyond that max £20 a year hosting.
We wont need anything fancy, literally basic html pages, some space for graphics, pictures etc. small small site for informational uses.
Can anyone personally recommend places?
I've been caught out on high transfer costs before, or then high site costs.
Don't really need a site builder, I can bodge a couple of basic pages together, but a free one would be advantageous for me to fiddle with and adjust later to suit

I use https://www.freeparking.co.uk for a domain with free redirection of email to a Gmail address. This space has been intentionally left blank0

https://www.ukreg.com for domain registrations and when it comes to hosting use either them / their parent company fasthosts or use Alex Threlfall https://www.cyberprog.com0

ukreg (fasthosts) are the one I would recommend. not the cheapest but they are very good.0

Never had a problem with either 123reg or LowCostNames though the former has a slightly more user-friendly web interface.
Do NOT use GoDaddy - their CEO is an elephant hunter.
Something to keep in mind - the advertised prices don't usually include VAT - make sure you're comparing like with like.I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.0 -
123reg have used for 7 years ,you can make up many email address from domain say, mail@[my domain].co.uk ,helps if you change isp ,I redirect my domain email to my gmail a/c and use one address for items that attract spam ,when it is cancelled spam ends ,then use new one , keeps spam from private email.
also their service is good ,some other domain suppliers charge up to £25 to transfer domain ,123reg is free.0 -

Until recently I would have recommended 123-REG too (I had over 100 domains with them), but they've hiked their domain registration/renewal prices up for the second time in a year, and their support is going down the pan.How do I add a signature?0

Thank you all! I've gone with UKreg to register it, and will see what's what later on. Checked out the options, and it seems ok for the future.0
