M&S Chargecard to M&S Credit Card

Hi,
I took out a M&S Store/Chargecard in the 1990s which became later a M&S Credit Card ("Money" wasn't it?).
My credit card debt as of today is around 5.5k... although it is now with a Debt Collector, I have not been in contact with M&S since around 2008 which is when I stopped making payments due to insufficient income. My average account balance over the period 2000-2008 must have been around 2k.
I have been self-employed - employed by my own one-man company - since 1995. I believe that I have been paying PPI since its inception on the account (whenever this was).
Also there are bank charges on the card.
Do I have a case?
Thank you,
Andy

Hi,
Thank you for this... should I pursue for the post-regulations premiums (and additions) or should I forget it with regards to any claim whatsoever?

For what reason do you feel the PPI was missold?0

Thank you very much for getting back to me Tallulah!
There was no personal contact from M&S at any time advising on PPI (telephone calls etc.)... I have been self-employed since 1995 (and held a card/made payments until 2008 or thereabouts)... As far as my memory permits me to remember, there were no questions about my employment status on any forms - if I had have been advised that I could not claim in the event of A, S, or U etc. due to my employment status, I would never have paid any PPI premiums in the first place - but pay them I did... I do not remember many other events other than an almost mandatory conversion from store card to credit card.
Is it worth a start? If so, what would you recommend?
Thank you again!
