Well- Should I holiday in Greece??!!

I was wondering, as everyone seems to be mentioning cash and whether or not it would devalue,in Greece, if it became a D for Drakmar etc, from what I can see no one has mentioned what happens to my Euros in terms of exchange rates when I get back home, when my Euros are on a Prepaid Card as opposed to cash.
Someone has also mentioned that some places aren't taking plastic, do I presume by that you mean Credit Cards and not Prepaid Cards.
Also if I buy now for my holiday and something did happen, is the worse that's going to happen, is my Euros are devalued, would there be a case where they'd be completely worthless and result in my losing all I've bought?
Perhaps someone could clarify this for me.0 -
Any Euro's bought here will be worth whatever the market rate is when you exchange them, the dubiety is if you bring back euro's that are stamped/marked in any way to identify them as being 'Greek'. Nobody knows exactly, but if that is how it plays out, those greek euros, may/or may not, be worth less than regular euros.I was wondering, as everyone seems to be mentioning cash and whether or not it would devalue,in Greece, if it became a D for Drakmar etc, from what I can see no one has mentioned what happens to my Euros in terms of exchange rates when I get back home, when my Euros are on a Prepaid Card as opposed to cash.

As for cards, if there is any major financial upheaval, the banking system will have the front end shut down, so no ATM's, no counter services for the duration of the changeover!0 -

You'll be fine but lonely in Greece. According to the Home Sec. and the Daily Wail the Greeks will all be in the UK soon.
