Sore throat advice - maybe hayfever?

I am beginning to get a little anxious and wondered if anyone could advise please?
Had a sore throat for about 10-11 days which has followed on from having a chesty cough a few weeks back – it is noticeable when I swallow.
I do suffer from hayfever and sinuses around this time of year (but never had sore throat symptom with hayfever before). My nose is currently the usual hayfever symptom I have experienced before (a little stuffy but not runny).
I take a nasal spray daily and anti-histamine as and when required.
Went to doctors on Thursday last week and said my ears were a little puffy but throat didn’t look too bad. He prescribed me some anti-histamine (Cetrizine I think..) and I have so far had 4 days of these but still no let-up.
I have sort of put it down to being hayfever/sinus related but wanted some reassurance. Maybe I will go back to doctors.
