Hello All
I went up to birmingham this weekend to see me ole grandad . cut a long story short I have tickets that I am just going to chuck away unless someone wants them.
Basically its Birmingham New Street - London Euston via London Midland Trains ONLY. They're open tickets till June 10th. I bought return tickets but think they were actually charged as 1way thier 1 way back as it was cheaper that way. So obviously I used the one's thier, but on the way back the guy just barely looked at them, they wern't clipped or scanned or anything.
The only snag is that I used my Family & Friends Railcard in conjunction with buying these tickets (which they did ask to see) so if anyone wants them they need to get access to a family railcard. I just thought I would check if anyone could use them 1st before binning them, as they are not of use to me now.
So in a nutshell thier are 2 adults 2 children tickets 1 way to London Euston till 10/06/12.

OK. Thanks. Read that thread with interest. That is such a shame.
Didn't see any such posts when The sun holiday thread was about, I think most users of this paticular UK Travel Board would have been thrown out....:D
Point taken and thanks for the link...0 -
I apologise now if I've got this wrong, but from your post it sounds like you have used both parts of the return tickets. Even if the train manager didn't mark the ticket, it's wrong and fraudulent to offer these tickets as unused.
If you haven't used the return part of the tickets then you could apply for a refund, minus any admin fee.Refunds
Your ticket is refundable.
If you decide not to use your ticket to make all or part of your intended journey then you can get a refund by returning your unused ticket to the ticket office or place of purchase (for tickets bought via websites, telesales or travel agents) within 28 days of the ticket expiry date. You may be required to pay an administration fee.
The refund amount will normally take into account any use you have made of the ticket and in some circumstances no refund will be paid.Whoa! This image violates our terms of use and has been removed from view0
