Unlocking DVD region codes

Hello!
I desperately need some help. I have bought a load of DVD's off Amazon and now they have arrived, I've realised they are all Region 1!
I have a Panasonic bluray surround system SCBT205. Is there anyway I can unlock this to play region 1's? Please help I have tried searching everywhere and it's making me so frustrated!

I presume you've tried playing one? I was surprised that my new Toshiba DVD recorder appears to be multi region out of the box but there's no mention on the box?
the naughty way (and I'm sure someone will tell me off here) is to download the free version of DVDFab and use your PC/Laptop to copy the dvds to blank discs which will then be 'region free' and will play on anything...
A quick search didn't turn up anything specific to unlock your model so unless you're prepared to buy a cheap region free dvd player.....

According to what I've read online, it looks like it will play R1 DVDs, but not Blurays.
