RBS & Santander Another Question..

Hey All,

Few quick questions,

When are RBS moving to santander? how long before we are moving to Santander online banking? when can i start using a Santander Branch instead of RBS?

This transfer seems to taking forever.

Will i keep my existing student overdraft?

    No one knows how long it will take. Should be by the end of the year at the latest though. They are probably taking their time to ensure nothing goes wrong with the integration. If it means not leaving your banking in a mess like they did with Alliance & Leicester customers, you'll be glad of that. Again, Online banking may take a while yet. I'm sure they will update you when they know themselves though! They still haven't moved the A&L customers onto the Santander Online banking yet.

    When I was an A&L customer I got moved onto the new platform, I thought they'd transferred everyone over now.

    That website works for normal RBS online banking too. I have a Scottish account and was able to log in via your link to view it.

    Yea it's gonna be a separate online and i assume the login will be RED by the 20th of may... you know the colour red = the devils colour = santander lol

    I registered to transfer my account to a Scottish branch but I still received a letter telling me to use the new website this morning.

    Has anyone managed to move to a Scottish branch yet? The staff in my local branch tried to discourage me from transferring. I understood they're not supposed to influence you either way.

    I moved from RBS england to RBS shetland via the branch transfer

    but i did this last nov 2011

    I think the time limit has ended now.

    I got the same letter, also have the one saying Im staying
    Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
