Multi auction search - ebay alternatives

As much as I luuuve ebay,

when I want to buy something I'd like to automatically search on sites like ebid and Gumtree as well, but also any of the hundereds of specialist little sites out there.

Is there a site to help with this?

I found AuctionAlfie but the eBid tab in particular doesn't seem to work. Deldoran never took off and MyAuctionSearch is offline too. There's some software called AuctionTamer but I'd prefer a simple website that shows multiple sites side by side.

Have I missed anything? Perhaps there's something like this in the USA that we don't have here you might have heard of?

Most of these search sites run through affiliate programmes, and very few alternatives to ebay have an affiliate programme based on buyer activity - almost all of them incentiivise new seller registrations. The only 3rd party marketplaces that pay out based on buying activity are Amazon and Play

This is a big part of the reason why so many of the ebay alternatives fail to gain any growth or exposure.

Is anyone here good at webdesign? How hard is it to copy and paste in people's search request into the search boxes on the various sites?

I don't know much about website design but I'd be happy to have a good if someone can lend me a hand. Would be great to see it on MSE, no? Compare auction sites

I can afford 100gb bandwidth a month... how much does one need for a site like this if you're not actually hosting and for the most part showing results direct at the auction sites. I would say use frames but all I know is that this is out of date.

I think Martin Lewis has taken enough ideas from other affiliates without suggesting more ideas for him to "replicate" for his own gain...

There are a few basic comparison sites already, one of which I built and run myself, but the revenues do not warrant the time involved to constantly update search categories and parameters, and I found that a number of sites (ebid included) are really not happy at having third party scrapers looking at their listings.

Hosting space capacity and cost is usually minimal, but bandwidth is the issue as many of the scrapers use a lot of juice, even if what they display to the end user is quite minimal.
