Kitchen applicances

HI there, we have been to a local kitchen fitting company and he has quoted us for CDA applicances. Well I have been reviewing this on the internet and they do not get a good write up.

Can you anyone recommend any brands please?

We will be purchasing:
Induction hob
Double oven
Built in microwave
Slim line dishwasher

Many thanks

Looks like you might have a lucky escape.

No recommendations of my own though as, astonishingly, after 30+ years of home ownership I've never purchased those items.

Cheap and nasty, don't buy. Better to shop around and buy known branded products at the lowest price you can find.

My own kitchen appliances are Neff. All sourced online at way below the retail prices. There are bargains to be had if you just look.

I paid £25 for my £300 retail kitchen sink, major brand, still boxed. Bought from Ebay from a seller who bought it for kitchen refit and then wife changed her mind and wanted different sink.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

Are you planning to put the induction hob immediately above a double oven? I'm no expert, but I gather that this combination doesn't often work as you need too big a gap between the two.

I can't help with the other 3 items as we haven't bought exactly the same. However we did buy an induction hob, choosing the Ikea Nutid HIN4T, and we're delighted with it. It's a rebadged Whirlpool but a lot less expensive at £249, and comes complete with a 5 year guarantee. Go to http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/30147618/
