Consortium reclaim - cold callers

I have received a number of calls from this company firstly claiming not to be selling etc then go on to try and sell.

I emailed them on Saturday asking them to stop calling otherwise I would report them to the ICO under Privacy & Electronic Communications Regulations and also to the Ministry of Justice for breaching MoJ Claim Management Regulations.

I got the read receipt saying that Consortium Reclaim had read my email today at 12:06pm. At 12:45hrs I received another call from Consortium Reclaim. I explained to them that I would be reporting them as promised in my email. The 'agent' said he would remove my number from the list straight away.

I will have to wait & see. If they do call again, I will report them again.

DO NOT USE "CONSORTIUM RECLAIM" who cold call for business contrary to Ministry of Justice Regulations.

I will not be using CONSORTIUM RECLAIM. I urge anyone else to ignore them. There are posts on this site with similar dealings with Consortium Reclaim.

Hi IanWoolnough, and welcome to MSE :hello:

The general advice on this site (and many other respected consumer finance sites) is not to use any reclaim company to recover bank or credit card fees.

This site has easy to follow guides explaining in step by step detail how to make a claim, so don't agree to give a large proportion of any refund (typically 20-30% plus VAT!) for the sake of writing a letter ot two.

You would have to provide the information to the claim company anyway for them to make a successful claim, so if you think you have a claim do it yourself direct to the bank or credit card company.

They're back!!! Please, please be careful people. A former incarnation of this company, Consortium Reclaim, took 2000 off me last year then disappeared. Just had a cold call from Claim Credit Service. The spiel is the same, the address is the same, even the "senior advisor" I spoke to on the phone is the same. Am reporting them to the MOJ now.
