Do virtual quotes online with and without this in your history.

Then you will know roughly how much is involved by deliberately not disclosing it and can decide whether it is worth risking it!

Some insurers will count it, most dont. To be safe, ask the insurer in question and declare it if requested when going through quote questions

Mine counted it and it gave a £40 rise in premiums. If that is the case for three years then the "free" windscreen repair would probably have been cheaper to pay explicitly.

.......For example, when I took out the policy last year, they made a minor mistake with my driving license start date (1st August, instead of 15th August). When I called them to query this, they increased my premiums by around £50 plus charged an administration fee of £50 to amend this, even though it was their mistake and even their own online quote system quoted me the same exact premium for both the license dates (basically a difference of 15 days).....

Hope you didn't let them get away with it! (Charging you £100 for their mistake!)

Unfortunately, I had to as the only other option they provided me was to cancel the policy altogether, pay the cancellation fees and set up a new policy with them again with the amended details!
